It’s not totally astonishing, though assumingly HP is laying off some Palm staffers now that a buyout is official. We don’t know exactly how most people have been being let go, or in what departments — it certainly creates clarity for HP to trim divided some administrative and support positions as it intregrates Palm into the larger classification — but there’s no subject that Palm’s mislaid somekeypeople ever since this misunderstanding began, as well as we’re really curious to see who’s left standing after these cuts. For what it’s value, Palm told All Things Digital which “partial of a integration strategy is consolidation of functions and operations, as suitable,” and that “Palm employees altogether are eager about having a financial fortitude as well as tellurian scale necessary to complete their prophesy,” so we’ve got goal — after all, HP needs Palm only as most as Palm needs HP.
