Philips’ Android-powered GoGear Connect PMP clearly upon sale abroad
We suppose it could always be a glitch of a little sort, but Argos isn’t typically the kind of tradesman to add products to the library with no goal of hawking them. First speckled behind in February (with the appreciative dose of steroids, competence we supplement, Philips’ newest GoGear Connect is ditching a proprietary OS in favor of Google’s alternative, following Samsung’s Yepp-YP-MB2 into a puzzling world of Android-based PMPs. The product listing shows a 3.2-inch media player as braggadocio Android 2.1, 16GB of inner storage space, the battery great for 5 hours of video playback (and 25 hours of audio), FM airwave tuner, the touchpanel as well as a microSD expansion container. Curiously sufficient, GPS is also thrown in, as have been the set of presumably lackluster headphones. It’s listed for the scarily arrogant €264.99 ($340), but mum’s a word upon an general recover — ‘course, it’s not like Philips hasn’t ignored North America prior to, so we’d suggest not land your exhale.
