PS3 modchip claims to eventually concede subsidy up games but invasive console operation (video)
Who needs George Hotz anyhow? A USB modchip for the PS3 has emerged from the mists this sunrise, purporting to concede a dumping of games onto circuitously storage — a console’s inner HDD and external drives have been both a-ok — as good as a subsequent playing of pronounced games without a need for the original front. Could it be a backup/piracy nirvana Sony loyalists have been awaiting for so prolonged? Well, there’s a video display the small USB device apparently operative, and a PSX-Scene team say they have privately verified that it does what it claims to do, though skepticism stays receptive to advice here. The PS3 has been a fortress of hacker unfriendliness, so we’d rather than flog back, relax, as well as wait for a little braver souls than us to do the contrast. For now, a video awaits after a mangle.
