Survey: One Third of iPad Owners Have Never Downloaded an App

A brand-new survey by a Nielsen Company shows which a single third of iPad owners have never downloaded an application. In the section patrician “A infancy of iPad owners have already paid for content” entirely 32% of iPad owners asked pronounced which they “did not download an app.” This compares to 63% who had downloaded the paid app, and 5% who had usually downloaded the giveaway app.

The Nielsen consult polled “5,000 continuous device owners who finished an online, self-administered survey,” though a tangible number of iPad owners in this 5,000 isn’t specified, though a single third seems an astonishingly high series, generally since which apps have been so easy to buy, and you pretty most have to pointer up to the iTunes Store only to get proposed with any iDevice.

Less startling is a relapse of paid downloads. Games have been the tip preference, with 62% of responders carrying paid for one, closely followed by books (54%) as well as song (50%).

If these figures have been essentially suggestive (ie. if a self-selecting sample-group essentially contains some-more than the couple of dozen iPad owners) afterwards maybe the app store isn’t the rival value which Apple believes it to be. Perhaps all you unequivocally need in the store is Angry Birds and the duplicate of a Kama Sutra.
