Hitachi was the first to roll out the 7,200RPM, 3.5-inch 2TB tough drive, as well as it looks similar to it’s now finished it again during the 3TB turn. That comes in a form of the company’s new Deskstar 7K3000 indication, that appears to not only be the initial 7,200RPM 3TB drive hard around, though Hitachi’s initial drive with a 6Gbps SATA interface. Otherwise, a five-platter drive packs the 64MB cache aegis, an resting energy draw of 6.8W, and what Hitachi describes as an eco-friendly, halogen-free design. Still no word upon pricing or the recover date, though The Inquirer surmises it’ll cost somewhere in a neighborhood of £200, or $320.
