Former World Champion Vladimir Kramnik faces off opposite the robotic arm in the diversion of shell chess

Robots as well as synthetic intelligence have been no foreigner to chess, but it’s not each day you get to declare an actual, burning game of shell chess between a World Champion and the robotic arm. Vladimir Kramnik, who was World Chess Champion from 2006 to 2007, seems to take the game pretty accidentally, but a robo-arm’s discerning, wilful moves feel only a small melancholy to us. We get it, you’re the drudge, you don’t have to go cheering it from the rooftops!
