Gingerbread ROMs begin in progress for HTC EVO 4G et al; set of keys ported for secure Androids
You can have your doubts about when your phone maker will finally get around to delivering an Android 2.3 update (March if you’re with HTC, June if Samsung, 2017 if you’re hapless enough to own the Sony Ericsson), though a smartphone dev village doesn’t work which slowly. The guys who setup custom ROMs just for a sheer honor of it have already started work on delivering Gingerbread to owners of HTC’s EVO 4G, Droid Eris, as well as Wildfire. It’s all in the really nascent stages and warnings everywhere that you should only install these ROMs if you intend to minister to a growth routine, though it does give us goal for a consumable brand-new OS in the not so distant destiny. One thing that does look ready to be gobbled up, however, is Gingerbread’s new program set of keys — you’ll find a download and designation instructions during a Droid-Life couple below, only remember to move your secure Android phone along.
