GeForce GTX 590 – is now officially
Finally, today NVIDIA officially announced the release of its newest dual card – GeForce GTX 590. In fact, it's a direct response NVIDIA Radeon HD 6990, which was officially unveiled AMD recently. At present it is the most powerful in the world of dual-processor card for desktop systems, but that the stronger and weaker than that, now let's see.
According to official figures, GeForce GTX 590 is based on two graphic processors GF110, manufactured on 40 nm process technology and is equipped with a full-sized cooling system with a fan in the center and two evaporation chambers. Card has a 1024 core CUDA, 3 GB of VRAM GDDR5, 128 texture units, and uses two 384-bit memory bus. The frequency of GPU, CUDA cores and VRAM is 607, 1215 and 3414 MHz respectively. According to most independent sources, which already had the opportunity to test this latest dual-GPU from NVIDIA, it is weaker than the Radeon HD 6990 and too expensive, especially when it comes to SLI. On the other hand, it supports 3D Vision Surround, has great overclocking potential, and last but not least, it is quieter than the Radeon HD 6990.
Recommended price: GeForce GTX 590 – $ 699 U.S.. It only remains to add that this is the first dual-GPU NVIDIA's architecture Fermi.
